Missing transactions or data

Find out why some data may not appear.

1. Overview

Missing transactions or incomplete data are usually caused by syncing delays, disconnected accounts, pending reviews, or recently uploaded information still being processed.

In many cases, the issue resolves automatically once data finishes syncing or workflows are completed.

2. Recently connected accounts

New bank accounts or QuickBooks connections may take time to fully import data.

During onboarding, Finz may still be:

  • syncing historical transactions

  • mapping vendors and categories

  • importing balances

  • processing accounting data

  • indexing uploaded documents

Some reports may appear incomplete until the initial sync finishes.

3. Transactions still processing

Recent transactions may not appear immediately.

Depending on the provider, some transactions may still be:

  • pending

  • unposted

  • delayed by the bank

  • awaiting confirmation

  • processing through QuickBooks sync

Most transactions appear automatically once finalized.

4. Disconnected integrations

If a bank account or QuickBooks becomes disconnected, new data may stop syncing.

This can happen if:

  • credentials changed

  • permissions expired

  • the integration was removed

  • the provider experienced downtime

Reconnect the integration to resume syncing.

5. Invoice or document review still pending

Uploaded invoices and bills may not appear in reporting until review is completed.

If a document is:

  • awaiting confirmation

  • missing required fields

  • still processing

  • uncategorized

parts of the data may remain excluded from dashboards or summaries.

Reviewing and saving invoice details helps finalize the workflow.

6. Filters or date ranges

Sometimes data is present but hidden by filters.

Check whether:

  • the correct location is selected

  • the right date range is active

  • a vendor filter is applied

  • account visibility is limited

  • the report is grouped differently

Incorrect filters are a common reason transactions appear missing.

7. Uncategorized transactions

Transactions without categories may not fully appear across operational reporting.

This can impact:

  • Margin

  • Signals

  • weekly summaries

  • AI CFO insights

  • operational comparisons

Reviewing uncategorized transactions improves visibility and reporting accuracy.

8. Google Sheets or uploaded documents still syncing

Connected Google Sheets and uploaded files may require additional processing time.

This is especially common for:

  • large spreadsheets

  • newly imported documents

  • recently edited sheets

  • files with incomplete formatting

Most processing completes automatically in the background.

9. What to check first

Operators commonly verify:

  • QuickBooks is connected

  • bank accounts are active

  • transactions finished syncing

  • invoices were reviewed

  • filters are correct

  • uploaded documents completed processing

These steps resolve many common missing-data issues.

10. If data is still missing

If transactions or data still do not appear, contact the Finz team with:

  • the affected workflow or report

  • screenshots if available

  • the expected transaction or value

  • the timeframe involved

  • any recent uploads or integration changes

Providing detailed context helps investigate the issue more quickly.
