Update account details

Edit your profile and account information.

1. Overview

This guide explains how to update your personal profile information and business details inside Finz.

You’ll learn which fields can be edited directly in Finz, when verification may be required, and how synced business information is managed through connected systems like QuickBooks.

2. Accessing profile settings

To manage account details:

  1. Open Settings

  2. Select the Profile tab

The Profile page includes:

  • Workspace information

  • Personal details

  • Business details

  • Timezone settings

3. Updating personal details

To edit your personal information:

  1. Open the Personal Details section

  2. Click the edit icon

  3. Update your information

  4. Click Save

You can update:

  • email address

  • mobile number

Some changes may require reverification before updates are finalized.

4. Email and mobile verification

For account security, Finz may require verification when updating:

  • email addresses

  • phone numbers

Verification helps protect account access and communication settings.

5. Updating timezone settings

Timezone preferences can be updated directly from the Profile page.

Timezone settings may impact:

  • reporting periods

  • workflow timing

  • scheduled summaries

  • operational reporting views

6. Understanding business details

The Business Details section displays information synced from connected systems and onboarding records.

This may include:

  • business name

  • entity name

  • formation date

  • business address

7. Editing business information

Some business details cannot be edited directly inside Finz.

If your business is connected to QuickBooks, certain fields must be updated in QuickBooks before changes appear in Finz.

You can use the sync option to refresh connected business information after updates are made externally.
